Alkimos College
We are extremely proud to have been a part of the latest completed project at Alkimos College. This outstanding kitchen was designed by our talented Business Development Manager, Adrian Tobin. The kitchen has been meticulously set up to perfectly suit the needs of Certificate 2 students.
What truly sets this project apart is the inclusion of a special needs kitchen equipped with ergonomic adjustable tables. These tables are a game-changer as they can be effortlessly adjusted to accommodate students’ varying height and mobility requirements. This level of inclusivity is a testament to Alkimos College commitment to providing solutions that cater to diverse needs.
One of the standout features of this college kitchen is the incorporation of Blue Seal induction cooktop. Not only does this introduce students to the latest commercial kitchen technologies, but it also underscores our dedication to sustainability and energy efficiency trends. It’s worth noting that the same Blue Seal cooking equipment has been successfully deployed across more than five different TAFEs in previous projects completed by Caterlink. This consistency not only streamlines the learning process for future chefs but also fosters a collaborative environment within educational institutions.
As a result, future chefs who graduate from Alkimos College will already be familiar with the equipment, its optimal cooking temperatures, and the main features of these units. This continuity and standardisation ensure that students are well-prepared to excel in their culinary journeys, from college to TAFE and beyond.
