The long-anticipated opening of Mecca’s flagship store on Bourke Street has been hailed as the biggest retail launch in Melbourne in the past century. Spanning three levels and 4,000 square meters in the heart of the Bourke Street Mall, the store sets a new benchmark for luxury retail.

Caterlink was proud to be part of this landmark project after winning the Buildcorp Pty Ltd tender. Our team delivered on project management and installation of the coffee bar and basement function kitchen fit-outs, contributing to one of the most ambitious retail projects of the decade.

The Mecca Bourke Street project required meticulous planning due to its Melbourne CBD location and heritage status. Deliveries and installations were carefully coordinated at every stage to preserve the building’s integrity while achieving modern hospitality standards.

Equipment Supplied

Caterlink worked closely with trusted suppliers to deliver high-performance equipment that met the operational demands of both the café and function spaces. Key installations included:

• Cooking Equipment: Waldorf Induction Cooktop and Deep fryer supplied by Moffat, Rational Combi Ovens supplied by Comcater
• Warewashing: Hobart Glasswasher with Reverse Osmosis (RO) system Winterhalter Dishwasher
• Refrigeration: Cyberchill Three Solid Door Self Contained Vertical Fridge
• Storage: Italmodular Shelving
