Perth's Up-and-Coming Leisure and Entertainment Hub: East Perth/Burswood

Perth’s leisure and entertainment scene is heading east, spurred by developments at Point Fraser, the New Perth stadium at Burswood and a new six-star hotel to add to the Crown Casino complex.

Fraser Point:  the up-and-coming hottest spot in the city

Perth is about to get its own Ku De Ta restaurant and bar complex at Point Fraser, on the eastern edge of the city foreshore, near the Causeway.

The original Ku De Ta, in Seminyak Bali, is popular as much for its sunset views as its exotic cocktails and gourmet food. Its new Perth restaurant will be the biggest and most prominent tenant of the On The Point development; it too promises to be a fantastic location to have a fabulous meal and witness the sun go down.

The development juts 30 metres over the Swan River; a stone's throw from Heirisson Island.

It will include a function centre, rooftop garden, boardwalks, boat moorings, as well as food and drink outlets.

Caterlink is excited to have won the project to install Ku De Ta’s kitchens. The $50 m project is on time to be opened in late September.

Crown Towers Burswood: six-star luxury

Crown Towers Burswood, a major six-star hotel, is on track to be opened in December this year. Boasting 500 luxury rooms, it will be Perth’s tallest hotel.  It will also be the best resort in Australia, according to Barry Felstead—Crown Resort Chief Executive—but don’t expect it to come cheap: one night in its top villa will put you back $20 000. Crown Towers Burswood will feature world class fine dining restaurants, with kitchens designed, supplied and installed by Caterlink.

New Perth Stadium: state-of-the-art sports facility

This 60 000 seat capacity stadium is set to be opened in time for the 2018 AFL season. It will be a multi-purpose venue capable of hosting AFL, rugby, soccer, cricket and entertainment events. Perth Stadium Station will be the second largest in Perth, with trains leaving every two to three minutes.
