For 60 years, the D’Anna family has been attracting Italians and food enthusiasts in Balwyn, thanks to their renowned Boccaccio Cellars, known for sourcing quality products. Now, they are extending an invitation to dine at their new wine bar, Enoteca Boccaccio.

Enoteca Boccaccio is located on the upper floor, accessed via a staircase beside the grocer. The 50-seat venue with exquisite features, including fluted Italian marble, textured walls, and handmade clay tiles reminiscent of Italy’s streets and grand piazzas.

Enoteca Boccaccio presents an ever-changing menu, with recent dishes including mouthwatering options like hibachi-grilled wagyu tongue with treviso, house-made veal agnolotti in brodo, and sea bream with vongole and grilled cabbage. Additionally, a one-kilogram bistecca is sourced from the D’Anna family’s Yarra Valley cattle farm. Rare wines from acclaimed producers enrich the selection, and BYO is available on select days throughout the week.

At the heart of the venue is a white marble bar, adorned with brass-edged cabinets displaying the day’s fresh pasta, oysters, and salumi selection. Behind the bar, two chefs skilfully assemble cold plates. Upon entering the venue, customers are greeted by a captivating display of maturing cheeses showcased in a wall of floor-to-ceiling cabinets. This carefully curated cheese collection adds a touch of sophistication and invites guests to indulge in the delightful flavours and textures awaiting them.
